About April White
April is the author of The Divorce Colony, the stunning true story of the socialites who pioneered modern marriage on the American frontier. She previously served as an editor and writer at Atlas Obscura and at Smithsonian Magazine. Her historical stories have also appeared in publications including the Washington Post, Boston Globe Magazine and The Atavist Magazine.
In addition, April has written and co-written a shelf full of cookbooks and urban agriculture books, including Lemonade with Zest; Sweet Sugar, Sultry Spice with pastry chef Malika Ameen; and Apples to Cider with Farnum Hill Cider’s Stephen Woods. She is also the former food editor of Philadelphia Magazine.
